Pembroke Castle & Hywel Dda Centre

On Friday 5th July the pupils from years 3 and 4 visited Pembroke Castle and the Hywel Dda Centre, Whitland as part of their Castles and Dragons studies.

Prior to the visit, Mrs Rhoswen Llewellyn gave her time to speak to the children about the life and times of Hywel Dda. This lesson was reinforced by their visit to the Hywel Dda Centre where Hywel's laws are beautifully represented by the gardens.

The visit to Pembroke Castle saw them exploring the castle whilst learning about its history and what life would have been like at the birthplace of Henry VII.

Thank you to Ken, Dafydd and Martin, our knowledgeable guides for a very informative tour of both venues.
