Christmas Concert

The children entertained at the village Christmas fayre on 6th December and again in our school concert which was held at the Market Hall on Tuesday 10th December. The evening's compère was Mr Wyn Evans, vice chairman of the governors, who did a great job introducing the children. The evening was opened with a performance by the foundation phase pupils who looked splendid in their costumes. They were followed by key stage 2 pupils entertaining the audience with a varied programme of sketches, dancing, singing and playing musical instruments. Thank you to our peripatetic music teachers, Mr Steve Metcalfe and Mr Norman Roberts for giving up their time to accompany the children on guitar and violin.

Refreshments were provided after the performance and the grand raffle was drawn. A few stalls were also available selling items that the children had made including mini Christmas cakes, tree decorations and cards. Thank you also to the Heald family for their stall and for arranging the grand raffle which was sponsored by Taf Valley Coaches.

We would like to thank each and everyone, both individuals and local businesses who donated a raffle prize and everyone who helped to ensure that the evening was a success.
