Ruth Cressey-Rodgers Visit

Ruth Cressey-Rodgers visited the school on 18th February to talk to years 3 and 4 about her work as an anaesthetist. Ruth, dressed in scrubs, answered the children's questions and introduced them to the world of surgery in a very practical manner. Having brought along a selection of medical items, Ruth explained her job with the aid of role play, encouraging the children to take it in turns to be the patients and doctors.

The children thoroughly enjoyed the experience and enthusiastically made anyone who entered the classroom wear a theatre cap!

Many thanks to Ruth for giving up her time to provide the children with an interesting insight into the work of an anaesthetist.
