Hywel Dda Visit

Pupils from years 5 & 6 were invited to take part in a workshop held at the Hywel Dda Centre in Whitland on Wednesday 24th September. The workshop was part of the outreach programme run by the National Library of Wales, Aberystwyth. Led by Rhodri and Nia, the children became history detectives for the morning, learning about early Welsh society and the Laws of Hywel Dda. They learned how early manuscripts and ink were made to note these laws and were very fortunate to be shown a manuscript of the laws believed to be dating back to the 13th century, beautifully illustrated and written in Latin.
