On 16th October year 6 pupils attended a technology day at Dyffryn Taf. The children were given the opportunity to meet and work with pupils from other schools. Having chosen a team name, each group had to work collaboratively to design a propelled rocket carrying buggy and to purchase parts and services to build the buggy, keeping within their $800 budget. Once built, they had to follow a design brief to make a simple rocket and the buggies were put to the test as they travelled across the hall towards the launch pad from which each rocket in turn was blasted towards the ceiling by a simple air compressed system.
Thank you to the staff from the technology department for a very enjoyable day.
