Once again, year 6 pupils took part in the annual technology challenge organised by Dyffryn Taf school as part of the transition process for pupils moving from primary to secondary school.
In teams aided by Dyffryn Taf mentors, they had to design and build a motorised vehicle to transport a simple paper rocket to the launch pad. Pupils were given a virtual budget of $800 to purchase the parts and services they needed to complete the project.
With their vehicles complete it was time to put them to the test. The teams crossed their fingers and hoped that their vehicles would successfully carry the rocket across the hall to where it would be launched into the air by a blast of compressed air.
Great fun was had by all and many thanks to all at Dyffryn Taf for arranging this.
